On Wednesday, Bryce & I had our 2nd trimester ultrasound & we found out that we're having a boy!! I guess both of our "parental" instincts were off b/c both of us thought it was going to be a girl! I had even purchased a pink bedding set - just in case I was right (which I returned to the store today)! We, of course, were going to be happy either way. We were just hoping for a healthy baby, first and foremost, and it looks like that's what we got! We both had been so anxious to find out what the sex of Baby Hutchins is. When we scheduled the appointment for the ultrasound it seemed so far away and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to handle the suspense for that long! My worst fear was that the baby would have it's legs crossed or umbilical cord between its legs preventing us from finding out the gender. I was reading horror stories (in my opinion!) of this kind on the pregnancy website that I follow where the women weren't able to find out the sex b/c one of those reasons. I would've been so heartbroken if that would've happened to us! Thankfully, our little boy was wide awake & moving around and cooperated just enough for the technician to take a peak! However, the technician did tell us it was a girl at first, but then we quickly found out that that wasn't the case! With a better angle and a more in depth look we found out that he is obviously a boy!! He is measuring where he should be and everything looks really healthy. He's a tiny 11 ounces right now! For how small he is, it's amazing how many great ultrasound pictures we got of him. Isn't he adorable?!
