Since we arrived at the fair earlier than we normally do, Bryce was craving some breakfast food & we found a place where they sold Belgium waffles. Bryce loved it, and that was the start of our feasting that day! I had the same 4 things I always have at the fair - pronto pup, cheese curds, a big pickle, and a twist-cone from the dairy barn! yum! Unfortunately, Connor didn't get to experience the fair food this year, but next year we'll be able to share with him.
We spent the day just walking around the fair eating, looking in the barns, people watching, and dodging strollers. We, too, were one of "those people" with a stroller this year....

On Saturday morning we packed up the car & headed to Little Falls to spend Saturday & Sunday at Bob & Diane's house (aka "the cabin"). It was Connor's first over-night stay somewhere and after waking up once scared, he ended up sleeping well the rest of the night and overall it was a big success. We had a great time spending time with my family, eating good food, pontoon rides, rope-swinging into the river (well, we didn't do that but the kids spent probably 10+ hours on Saturday doing that!), and of course, sitting around the bonfire at night and having a good laugh with everyone. Thanks Bob & Diane for your great hospitality! We are already looking forward to doing it again next year.
