Connor's First Christmas!

Connor had a great first Christmas! It was celebrated with lots of family time, opening presents, and playing with his new stuff. We celebrated Christmas a little early with Bryce's immediate family and traveled downtown to see the Macy's 8th Floor Christmas display. But, since the wait was an hour and half long, we chose not to see it and instead walked around the skyways and into the Gaviidae mall instead. Then, Grandma Jo made lasagna & salad for dinner & opened presents after dinner. It was a nice day and we enjoyed spending the time with the fam.

On Christmas Eve day we headed over to my parents house to celebrate with my immediate family. Grandma Gail made sloppy joe's (a family favorite!) and spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out with the family, opening presents, and Connor got to hang out with his cousins too! Connor was Nathan's buddy all day & Nathan got a kick out of finding toys and making Connor crawl to them. But since Connor is such a stellar crawler these days, he even crawled his way through Grandma & Grandpa's coffee table!

On Christmas Eve night my mom's entire side of the family came over in the evening. Connor got to meet lots of new people and see a ton of new faces. Thankfully he did really well with the large crowd, dispite his lack of an afternoon nap. All the aunts kept commenting on how cute he was & each had a different opinion of who he's looking like. Some say he looks like me or my brothers, and others saw a lot of Bryce in him.

Then on Christmas Day Santa came & brought Connor lots of gifts! He's been a good boy this year, so Santa rewarded him as such. The wagon is already a big hit with Connor, so it'll be even more fun in the spring when we can actually take him on rides outside.

After we opened gifts from Santa we got ready & braved the snow storm and headed over to Grandma & Grandpa Hutchins' house for brunch with Bryce's extended family. And the highlight of the day was seeing Santa! Bryce's uncle Brant put his Santa suit on, so Connor got to meet Santa and sit on his lap. Connor wasn't so sure what to think, but he didn't cry and freak out...he just sat there expression-less the entire time. A big thank you to Brant!
