Memorial Day Weekend

What a great long weekend we had! The weather was perfect, which made it much more enjoyable. The weekend was filled with play-time outside, a graduation party, a haircut, a picnic, and plenty of family time with the 3 of us. Bryce & I were even able to get out of the house by ourselves for 2 date nights over the weekend. So, thank you grandma's and grandpa's for watching Connor. I know he enjoyed his time with all 4 of you.

On Friday, the weather was hot & sunny so I thought it would be a prefect day to set up Connor's pool for the first time. He liked playing with it from the outside, but did NOT want to get in it! Hopefully he'll warm up to his pool as the summer goes on.

On Saturday we made an emergency run to Kids' Hair to get Connor his 4th haircut. As you can see from the pictures above, his head looked like a mop and I couldn't take it anymore. With summer here, we knew we had to chop off his locks once again to help keep him cooler during the summer. Doesn't he look handsome?!

On Memorial Day, we packed a picnic lunch and headed over to Stepping Stone Park in BV (or whatever it's called...) and enjoyed the water and sunshine.

This park is so fun - and free - so it doesn't get much better than that. It's a great place to stay cool during those hot days. We plan to spend lots of time here this summer. Connor wasn't really sure if he liked it at first, but started to warm up to it as the afternnon went on. That's how he is with most things though...
