We're Pregnant!!!

roses are red
violets are blue
the hutchins are having a baby
that soon will be due :)

Yes, that's right - we're pregnant! We are so excited to finally extend our little family with a new baby! We are currently 10.5 weeks along, and are due on March 19th! The news didn't quite sink in for us for a couple days, but it has definitely started to feel more & more real each day and we are getting more & more excited all the time! This will be the 5th (!) March bday in Lindsay's immediate family, so we're wondering if Baby Hutchins will be born on the same day as Kelly, Mom, Bryce or Christina! We'll have to wait and see...

Bryce & I were forced to wait THREE weeks to tell our parents and family about the news b/c we wanted to tell them in person and have them all together at the same time...but Bruce & Jo were heading to CA for their 2 week vacation, and Gail was busy with Aunt Amy from CA and all of her other sisters for 3 weeks, so we were forced to wait. I think that was the hardest thing we've ever had to do!! We wanted to tell them so bad, but knew it would be best to wait. So we finally were able to share the news with our families two weeks ago and everybody was so excited for us! We feel very blessed to have such tremendous support from our family & friends during this special time, and we know this baby will be well loved. This will be grandbaby #1 for Grandma & Grandpa Hutchins, and grandbaby #8 for Grandma & Grandpa Thorne!

We had our first appointment on Monday, August 18, when I was 9 weeks along. The appointment went really well and I feel very comfortable with my nurse-midwife who'll be helping me along during this pregnancy. We didn't get an ultrasound that day, but we did get to hear the heartbeat! It was so amazing to hear the strong heartbeat (180 beats/minute!) knowing that the baby was only the size of a grape at that point!

If anybody knows Lindsay, then you'll know that she hates surprises! So...we will definitely be finding out what the sex of Baby Hutchins is once I am 19-20 weeks along & are so excited about that! We've already been told that some people know it'll be a boy, and others are positive it's a girl - so we'll keep you posted! Until then, please check back here often, b/c we plan to update as much as possible!

Thanks for your love & support!

I can't say it enough...I'm so happy for the two of you. I'm pretty sure the two of you won't be able to see baby very often. You have quite a few people who are going to want to babysit all the time! The grandmas will be fighting over who gets baby on the weekends :)
Love you both. Congrats once again!!
