Date Time!

It's been a lot of fun talking with our family & friends about our baby that's on its way! We have gotten our fair share of advice from people about babies, parenting, etc., so that has been fun to hear about other people's experiences. I'm just hoping that our baby isn't the crier that I hear Bryce was when he was a baby! (If so, I guess that'll be Bryce's payback, right?!)

One of Bryce's old coworkers gave him 2 words of advice: 1) Get as much sleep as humanly possible before the baby comes (I think I can handle that!), and 2) Make time for as many date-nights as possible before the baby comes as well. I'm guessing we won't have that luxury nearly as often as we do now once March rolls around!

So, this past weekend we decided it was a good time to have date-night and we spent an afternoon in Mpls. We spent some time down by the Stone Arch Bridge, the new Guthrie theatre, and had dinner at the Town Hall Brewery near the U of M campus. It was a really nice afternoon and we really enjoyed ourselves.
We already have a few other ideas for upcoming date nights as well, so I'm looking forward to those too. But besides that, we'll be keeping ourselves busy with trying to get our house in order before the baby arrives. We have more painting to do, furniture to buy, and decorating to complete...it's been a slow but steady process over the past year, but it'll feel nice to get things how we want them. Thankfully, neither of us are winter people, so we'll have plenty of time to stay inside and get those things done over the next few months!

Well, our next Dr. appointment is scheduled for Friday, September 19. This is just another monthly check-up, but I'm really looking forward to it. Each appointment that comes and goes means it's getting that much closer to having this baby :)

Hey guys! How did your last Dr. appt. go on Friday? Hope all is well. I hope you are getting the sleep and date nights you'll need before the baby. Just remember to keep the date nights going even after the baby! That helps to keep your marriage strong. We've always done date nights, and after 9 years, we still are. Take care, kerri and family :)
