4 months & a play date

Sunday was Connor's 4-Month Birthday! He has his 4-Month Dr appt on Friday, so we'll see what his official height & weight is that day. He sure is growing & learning each day, though. He's getting really strong & we know he'll be sitting up on his own in no time. He loves to sit on our laps like a big boy and look at everything around him. He's getting good at reaching for things near him and then grabbing them & sticking them in his mouth, of course! He is such a joy to be around & we love our little guy more than anything.

In other news -

Connor had a play date with his friend Micah on Saturday! We decided to take the boys to the Stepping Stone Park in Burnsville to let the boys play in the water. Unfortunately, the day didn't turn out to be super nice out & we ended up getting sprinkled on so we had to leave the park earlier than we wanted to. The boys did get to get their feet in the water for a little bit, but I think it was a little too cold that day for their liking!

But since the weather didn't cooperate, Chris & Raquel invited us back to their house where we spent the rest of the afternoon. While the boys napped the adults sat on their deck and enjoyed the cool breeze and conversation. Connor & Micah joined us outside when they woke up. We had a really fun day with Chris, Raquel & Micah and can't wait for our next play date!

Connor has been rolling over for about a month now (from tummy to back) but he is getting better & better at it each day. He pretty much rolls over every time we put him on his tummy. As cute as it is, it's been a little bit of a challenge these days b/c he likes to wake himself up from naps now by rolling onto his back, which immediately wakes him up & makes him mad! As strong as he is though, I'm sure he'll be rolling from his back to his tummy soon enough.

Oh, and one more thing...

Bryce & I couldn't believe our eyes on Sunday night. I laid Connor down on the couch by me while we were watching our show on tv. Connor instantly zoned out & started looking really tired and actually fell asleep on his own! This was the first time Connor has ever fallen asleep on his own without one of us holding or rocking him! (on his back even!) So cute :) What a good boy.
