12 Months

Connor had his 12 Month well-visit appointment today. I always look forward to seeing how much he has grown since his last appointment, but dread watching him get poked with a handful of needles for his immunizations. He had to get 3 shots today, plus he got his finger pricked for a hemoglobin/iron test. Poor kiddo.

His official 12-Month stats are:

Weight: 22 lbs (40%)
Length: 31.25 in (90%)
Head: 19.25 in (97%)

Connor already has 10 teeth in (including 2 molars on the bottom)...and we found out today that he has 4 more teeth coming in on the top. The little tooth buds are just barely poking through, but Connor will have 4 more top teeth any day now. Crazy. This kid teeths like non-other! Thankfully, it seems like teething doesn't bother him as much as it used to. But still, the poor kid just can't get a break.

The other thing we found out today was that Connor has a DOUBLE ear-infection. What?? Bryce & I had no idea. He hadn't been acting like he was in pain/uncomfortable at all lately, so we had no idea that his ears were hurting. Hopefully they haven't been infected for very long. He started medication tonight, so his ears should get cleared up within a couple days. We both felt terrible though for missing any signs of him having an ear infection.

It still amazes me how many changes a baby goes through during their first year of life. Connor is walking, talking (mama & dada), signing (more, all done & milk) and gaining more & more independence each day. Just tonight Bryce & I were just sitting on the living room floor watching Connor entertain himself for a long time. He just kept going from one toy to the nest. It's so cute to watch him explore.

Well, on another note - I'm glad the weekend is here. It should be a fun one. Tomorrow we are getting Connor's 1-year pictures done. We'll hope for his cooperation! And Sunday is Easter. It'll be great to be able to spend time with both of our families :)
