Connor has been loving bathtime lately, and it's really fun to see. For the past 18 months he has had a love/hate relationship with the tub. As an infant he loved his baths, and then for the next few months he hated it, and then he started liking it again (but just hated the whole hair-washing-part), and now he absolutely loves it (the hair-washing-part, and all!).
After dinner tonight Connor was just playing in the living room and when I asked him if he was ready to go upstairs to take a bath, he immediately stopped what he was doing and starting crawling upstairs! Previously during bathtime Connor would get to a point when he was just done with his bath and would stand up and reach for me to take him out. But now, I have to decide when he is done with bathtime b/c otherwise he'd stay in there for hours.
Speaking of water - Connor & I have been attending swimming lessons together for the past 4 weeks and he has really been enjoying it and doing a great job. And it seems like his love for bathtime has increased since we started swimming lessons too. He is definitely more adventurous in the tub than he has ever been before (i.e. laying on his tummy, splashing like a mad-man, and standing up to mess with the faucet).
There are a handful of tricks Connor is learning in swimming lessons, but two of the main ones are 1) blowing bubbles in the water and 2) learning to kick his feet.
Watch the video below --- Connor was showing-off a couple of his new tricks he's learned from swimming lessons during bathtime tonight and wants to share with everyone!
And just an FYI - "blowing bubbles" to Connor means to "put mouth in water." Ha! He's learning, though. Right??
