With baby #2 on the way this year, we don't have any major vacations planned like we have done in the past. So instead, we decided that we would do a handful of long-weekend getaways throughout the year. Two weekends ago, we did just that. We enjoyed our first stay-cation at the Radisson's Waterpark of America Hotel. What a fun place.
On Thursday afternoon, after our ultrasound appointment, we picked Connor up from daycare early and headed over to the hotel. We stayed Thursday - Saturday.
When we first got to the hotel we had to check out our room right away! We were given the last room that overlooks the waterpark, so that was great to have. Connor thought the bunkbeds in the room were a ton of fun. Especially when we would shut the curtain on him and he could hide.

We only swam on Friday since tickets to the waterpark are sold separately from the hotel. But Connor was really anxious to play basketball in the water - that's what he's pointing to in the picture below (the basketball hoops in the distance).
And unfortunately we didn't take any swimming pictures since we were in the water the whole time and didn't want to bring our camera down there with us either. Lets just say that we spent the majority of the day in the basketball pool. That kid is seriously obsessed!
Instead of swimming on Thursday afternoon/evening, we decided to head over to Edinborough Park to have some play time. Again, we spent the majority of our time in the gym playing basketball :)

But he did spend a little time in the jungle gym with Daddy!

And in the bouncy castle, too

The hotel also had a big arcade where we spent some time on Thursday evening and Saturday morning. And once again, most of our tokens were used on the basketball games, ha! Like I said, the kid is obsessed. Seriously obsessed.

We had such a nice family weekend getaway. We were all sad to leave the hotel, that's forsure. Not sure where we'll end up next, but I'm looking forward to another long weekend again soon.
